How to use Chrome Remote Desktop for Android

→What is "Chrome Remote Desktop"?

Chrome Remote Desktop is a remote desktop software tool developed by Google that allows a user to remotely control another computer using a Chromoting protocol developed by Google. It transmits the keyboard and mouse events from one computer to another, relaying the graphical screen updates back in the other direction, over a network.

→How to use it?

You will need following tools to use it:

  1. Windows or MAC running PC.
  2. Google chrome browser.
  3. Android phone which running on Android 4.0 (Ice-cream sandwich).

Follow the steps below to make it work:

First you have to download Chrome Remote Desktop add-on for your chrome browser. Download it by clicking here and install it.

Now download chrome remote desktop an Android app from play store on your android smartphone. Click here download it and install it.

Now open your google chrome browser → go to Apps → click on Chrome Remote Desktop.
(Make sure you are sign in with your gmail or google account to make it work.)

At My Computers section on chrome remote desktop click on Enable Remote Connections. Enter PIN with at least 6 digits and click Ok.

After that it ask you to enter you PIN again. Enter it and click Ok. You will now see the message like - "Remote connection for this computer have been enabled." Click Ok.

Now open Chrome Remote Desktop app on your android device. You will see your computer name on it. Click on it.

It will ask you to enter the PIN. Enter the PIN which you have created earlier and press Connect.

Now it will connect with your PC via remote access.

To disconnect it you will see the Stop Sharing on your Computer click on it.
